Outstanding among Brazilian singer and songwriters of his generation, Fred Martins joins us from Spain to perform diverse repertoire embedded in the musical tradition of the emblematic Brazilian song-artisans. Brazilian Canadian singer Luanda Jones received rave reviews for her 2009 release Aquarela. A captivating but subtle performer, Luanda is a unique voice on the Canadian jazz landscape, blending samba, bossa nova, funk and jazz. Two of Toronto’s most highly-respected and in demand jazz musicians, Mark Kelso and Geoge Koller, will provide the rhythm section for this one-night-only concert.
